Pimp Smack Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 After our game against Dayton friday I myself think they will not be stopped in district. They were very strong and really quick. Who else thinks Dayton is THE team to beat in 4a.
KFDM COOP Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I said after week 0 when i saw their speed on defense they were going to be really good.
Pimp Smack Posted October 2, 2006 Author Report Posted October 2, 2006 I would like to get the name of the defensive back #9 on Dayton. He ran his mouth alot, but he sure did back it up. He was in on half the tackles it seemed like. And wasnt afraid to lay a helmet on someone.
Guest Penny Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I'm holding my opinion of Dayton until I see them play one of either PNG/Central/Nederland... then I'll let you know.
WOS92 Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Locally, I think they are the 4A team to beat right now. Statewide, probably not. WO-S beat them pretty handily in the second half, and I don't know that we're even THE team in 3A. They have my vote for the district title, though.
BH89 Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 If I recall correctly............Dayton is "West of the Trinity". Right along with the BH Eagles.
griff Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 If I recall correctly............Dayton is "West of the Trinity". Right along with the BH Eagles. OK...so Dayton is west of the Trinity River. Big deal. What is your point?
Zoneblock Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 I will not pass judgement on how good Dayton will be until they atleast beat a above average team in 4a. Right now i believe they have the coaching and the athletes to do it, But so do alot of other teams in 22 4a. Once again let them beat somebody good by that much and they maybe my pick.
NDNWarrior Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 I'll hold my opinion about Dayton until they play PNG, Central, and Nederland. PNG plays Dayton the last game of the season and they play them at The Reservation. Now, if PNG continues to roll as they are, then everything builds up to that last game....and believe me, MCM is big, but if its between Dayton and PNG for district, this will be one "heck" of a game.......all the injuns will be out, standing room only crowd. It's hard to come away with a win at the Reservation.......we'll be ready for 'em!
BH89 Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 OK...so Dayton is west of the Trinity River. Big deal. What is your point? You know Griff.......Real football players come from over there.... Brenham LaMarque Barbers Hill Dayton Texas City El Campo Lamar Consolidated Waller, etc...etc.... Just a little friendly jab for my East of the Trinity friends. Yall do have Vidor though.....
AshlyHasBeen Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 If we're going that far over, throw in Southlake as West of the Trinity

WOS92 Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Dayton is west of the Trinity, just like BH. They got beat by WO-S, a team east of the Trinity, just like BH.
