i think they might go undefeated. IMO

I'd love to see that. At some point, I think the free throw shooting and a sub-par night shooting from the perimeter will catch up with them. I can see them in the final four and then anything can happen.

one word:  KANSAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Give me an athletic, quick and smart team anyday.

Well, yet again the question isn't answered.

Texas' team is athletic, quick, and smart. You can't be #2 without it. Being ranked #2 and anyone saying Texas can't possibly win it all, shows a certain lack of intelligence.

Dove, I could not disagree with you more!!!  The only true quickness on that Kansas team is Collins and Taylor... Texas on the other hand has Balbay, Bradley, James, Lucas, and Mason.  The overall team intellegence goes to Kansas because they are smothered with vets at every position...  Even off the bench with Morningstar!  Henry is the only weakness... But Texas has Balbay, Lucas, Brown, Johnson, and James on that same level.  But the other young players in key positions can hurt you.  And as far as athltetes, Texas is far more athletic.  And it goes deep with Johnson, James, Bradely, Balbay, Hamilton, and Wangmene (taht is witrh the loss of Ward).  WithK ansas you have the twins, Taylor, and Henry; THAT IS IT!!!!!  i think Aldridge and Pittman cancel each other out!!! Then there is the match between James/Johnson and Morris Twins advantage Texas.  Henry vs any Texas guard (advantage Kansas unless you put James on him and go big).  Bradley vs Taylor is a wash.  And Collins vs. Balbay (advantage Collins but we saw how Balbay nullified Lucas of whom is on Collins level).  Then there is the Bench which we all know is advantage Texas!

Collins is the one that can make the difference in this game.  If Henry is too big for Bradley or Mason to check then Hamilton or James will have to hold him.  I believe Wangmene, Johnson, Hill, Chapman, or Hamilton could check the Morris twins and give Pittman and James enough releif!  The entire match-up comes down to Collins vs. the Texas Bench!!!!  Can Collins be the difference in beating Texas!  Or will Texas' depth wear down the Jayhwks?

I actually believe Syracuse has the best opportunity to whip Texas!  Especially with that athletic 2-3 zone against a struggling offense!

when do we play Syracuse?
We would have to play them in the touney!!! But after watchin UT, Syracuse looks like the only clear favorite to beat them...  I am not saying no one else could beat them but Cuse has the perfect formula to beat them!

Hamilton, Brown, Lucas, and James will shoot over the top of the 2-3 zone. and once they have to start closing out on shooters that will open up penetration and post moves for Pittman inside. Plus the Orangemen can't score with Texas. They don't have the offensive presence to match the intensity and pressure that the depth of Texas can put on them. So no Texas will kill Syracuse.

But the beauty of basketball and the 3 pt. line is that anyone can beat anyone anyday. So who knows Texas could not show up in the 2nd round of the tourney and get beat. But I highly doubt it!

Unless some kind of major upset happens in the NCAA tournament Texas will be our National Champions they are really really good.
by the time you get to the sweet 16, there arent any weak sisters left.  it takes just as much luck as it does talent to win the tourney.  as good as they are, the odds of them winning it all are still low.

There are plenty of STRONG teams out there, no way can anyone guarentee a national championship in Early January.  Don't forget that Kansas, Kentucky, Syracuse, Purdue, Duke, Kstate, and Villanova are still out ther, plus there may be a suprise  team or two!
