Guest mffl Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 He is leading Lancaster to a great season, beating top teams everywhere.CHAMPIONSHIP: LANCASTER 77, DALLAS WOODROW WILSON 54Lancaster seemed to do everything right in a comfortable victory against a talented Woodrow ball club. Of all the things done right, Lancaster proved to be exceptional in the rebounding department.Lancaster (16-2) outrebounded Woodrow, 54-37, with the help of its two big men, 6-foot-10 UTEP signee John Bohannon and 6-foot-8 Lamar signee Michale Kyser. Bohannon recorded a monster double-double - 20 points and 20 rebounds - while Kyser added his own double-double - 10 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots. As good as Bohannon and Kyser were, all eyes were on another Lamar signee, 6-foot combo guard Tre Lynch. The senior finished with 25 points and drained four 3-pointers. Lynch was named the tournament MVP for his services. Bohannon and Kyser were all-tournament selections."We're shutting everybody up. We're making everybody quiet," Lynch said while smiling, referring to the critics that question whether or not Lancaster should be considered a premier team in UIL Class 4A. "We're making history over here."Woodrow's Trey Davis, Marc Brown and DonWayne Mayberry combined for 38 of Woodrow's 54 points. Davis had 18 points and was named to the all-tournament team. Mayberry (nine points) also made the all-tournament team. Woodrow fell to 15-6 on the season.
Guest coachacola Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 As young as this year's team is, they should be younger and better next year.
