Lamar Opens Second Season At Southeastern On Saturday

** Lamar has won four-consecutive games, marking the longest such streak since last season's squad opened the year with a 5-0 mark. A win on Saturday would match SFA for the longest win streak of the season in the league. The Jacks won five from Nov. 28-Dec. 12.

** Lamar play-by-play man Dave Hofferth will be calling his 900th Lamar basketball game on Saturday.

** The Cards are 0-6 on the road this season and have lost eight-straight dating back to their win at Sam Houston last season.

** Lamar set season-bests for points (87), field goal percentage (.538), assists (24) and turnovers (8) in the 19-point win over Arkansas State.

** Lamar improved to 7-2 this season when scoring at least 74 points, 8-1 when leading at the half, 8-1 when shooting better from the floor and 8-1 when blocking more shots than the opposition.

** Lamar's defense has held its last six opponents under 70 points, marking the first time that has been accomplished since the 2002-03 season when Mike Deane's team limited nine-straight teams to less than 70 during a stretch in SLC play in which they went 6-3. Further, the Cards have held their last four teams to 40 percent or less shooting.
