Friday Night Lights...Thoughts On The First Episode?

There is no way to replicate the intensity of High School football in Texas on film. I think the original movie Friday Night Lights did a good job but it was based on a true story and events that actually occurred. I watched most of the TV show and thought it was fair at best, can't see it lasting though.

Friday night Lights was a great book a bad movie and an oK tv show.....

I didn't like it because their was nothing new. Give me a story line that i haven't seen in some movie in the last five years.

I thought it was excellent. The first episode left you hanging... the hits were real, the charaters were not overdone. The opponents were Austin Westlake (I think). I'll definitly watch every week.
