Rebel Yeller Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 I just wanted to say to the East Chambers ISD that your new gym is very nice.My son played in the JV tournament last weekend and that was the first chance I had to see your new place and I can say from design to function it is great.Hope you enjoy playing in your new place as much as Evadale enjoys playing at ours. It will spoil you especially when you have to travel some place where they only have bleachers.
Lazeek Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 It is the best gym in SE Texas period!!!!!!!

whsalum Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Gotta say I'm gonna miss the atmosphere of the old one but the new digs are certainly top notch.
FanintheStands Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 I sat in that gym during the EC tournament and thought, "Hmm, HJ built a new gym and EC built a new gym. Why couldn't ours be as nice as theirs?" That continues to bother me. A quick and easy answer would be so that they could have the second gym right next door, but that answer seems hollow when you realize there are two gyms right across the driveway (50 yards away!).That is a fantastic gym, Buc fans!
whsalum Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 You gotta lok at the total package at HJ. I got to take a quick tour of the school during HJ tournament and the new school is absolutely amazing. The only down side to the gym is seating size but it's no dump by any stretch.
Lazeek Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 The difference is that HJ built and two new entire schools and renovated others with their bond and EC passed a $4 million bond just for the new gym!!!!
AggiesAreWe Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010
The difference is that HJ built and two new entire schools and renovated others with their bond and EC passed a $4 million bond just for the new gym!!!!
That pretty much sums it up. ;)

Lazeek Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I would rather have two new schools, renovate two schools and have a new gym like HJ has than just have a new gym like EC has.........I LOVE the HJ gym just wish is was slightly bigger and possibly with stadium seating as well.
AggiesAreWe Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I agree, I was expecting the new HJ gym to be much bigger.
whsalum Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 It's big enough to hang all those banners in ;D ;D ;D

Bucof2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 They got the ec logo where there was the hole on the outside very nice...I was wondering about the hj thing too I bet that gym has not a whole lot more seating than our old one...I heard our old gym is being renovated soon

The new school is fantastic and that comes first.But........ why not use the Henderson gym right across the driveway as the second gym and build a single nicer gym at the high school? Do you ACTUALLY need 4 gym's in one spot?I'm not saying......, but I'm just saying.
Lazeek Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 I don't disagree one bit Faninthestands!!!!! But I am very happy with what we have, although I LOVE the EC gym!!!!

EC's new gym is a shoddy piece of craftsmanship anyways. Let's just take it for what its worth; HF's gym is WAAAAYYYYY better than EC's. hahhahahaha ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Well yeah, but since the HF gym is SO good, nothing else compares. That's why we haven't been talking about it.

Lazeek Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Henderson Jr. High used to have to bus two of their four teams to the Nome Gym every day for practice. Now, the Jr. High has two gyms for four teams and the high school has two gyms for six teams. HJ did it right. Could have been a little bigger but, their practice situation is much better now than it used to be.

BLUEDOVE3 Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 Okay, enough talk!!!! It's time to break in that new gym with HF dominating the Bucs in their own gym. 8)
