hockeyfan Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Camp starts in less than an hour! I really need to get off of the Internet so that I can get ready.
hockeyfan Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 This morning's camp was very exciting to watch. The team is MUCH quicker than the old team. There are several more practices, including another one this afternoon from 4:00-5:30. Some pictures: http://www.texaswildcattersfanclub.com/photos_cookie2.htm
hockeyfan Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Tomorrow is the last chance to see the Wildcatters before they go to Florida. Practice: 10:00-11:30 am 4 on 4 gold vs. black scrimmage: 7:00-8:00 pm It's all free to the public. No tickets needed. Just walk into the arena and follow the signs. You know you're getting closer to the ice when you hear pucks hitting the glass at 95 mph. 8) Kids are also welcome to run around and find pucks that are stuck in the safety netting. Isn't that right, Emonarch? Come see the "coolest game in town", and the ONLY professional team of ANY sport in the area. Dang, I sound like a commercial.
Cookie32 Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Yes, it's free, so come on out and let the kids get a few pucks and maybe an autograph or two. 8) Thanks to all three news stations for the coverage of last night's Meet and Greet! 8) Channel six's new commercial is awesome (Leon is so funny when he says, "The Catters are back!")
Guest emonarch777 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 im ready for the scrimage tomorrow , hey coop are you gonna be there?
hockeyfan Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 You better come! This morning's practice was AWESOME! Bayrack and another player got into a fight -- a good one! It took several other the guys to break them apart. Before that, Leon Hayward accidentally ran into the goalie(Kopriva) and his mask went flying off. Kopriva was a little out of it, but still continued with the practice. Then the Zamboni was just about dead, so it was either use it for practice, or wait until the scrimmage. While the guys were waiting, they played "hockey golf" on the ice, using their sticks as putters and the spot on the face off circle as the hole. One of them yelled out, "BIRDIE!!!!" Ashlee Langdone and Brian Stacey were in the stands watching practice.
Guest emonarch777 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Ashlee Langdone and Brian Stacey were in the stands watching practice. Don't they both have girlfriends that live in this area?
Cookie32 Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 E... Langdone is married. Stacey is single.
hockeyfan Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 The scrimmage was great! It was Team Gumper(white jerseys) vs. Team Shipwreck(black). Gumper won by a score of 5-3. Warm-up lasted 6 minutes, first period was 20, intermission was just a minute or two, and the second(and final) period was 15. Goal scorers were by Marco Rosa, Mike Bayrack(2), Kevin Baker(2), Jonathan Paiement, Leon Hayward, and Kevin Asselin. There was one penalty during the "game", which meant for a penalty shot for the Shipwreck(who scored). Referees were the guys from the front office(Steve Samoyedny and Quincy Bird).
Guest emonarch777 Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 great game tonight even if it was just a scrimage. I cant wait till our season to start. I got to visit with ash and brian, good to see them again. Well I guess I'll see all of you in a few weeks.. Hey coop I didn't see you there.
hockeyfan Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 It was nice to see Ashlee Langdone and Brian Stacey again. I had Ash sign my Langdone doll that was from a promotion when he played in San Diego.
Cookie32 Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 E... I'm glad hockeyfan cleared that up for ya. When you said "Ash and Brian", I thought you were talking about my family. Coop... where were ya? You missed them filming a new Catters commercial.
