One last week w/ the Jr. girls & one when this Boys Varsity team was in Jr. high.

Especially when the other team only has 5 players total and 3 of those 5 are sixth graders. They know when enough is enough and you drop back and if nothing else play half court man. They have more class than to purposely try to humilate a group of kids not even in high school yet. And just to let you know it was at the request of the officials that the clock be run.
bigbasketballfan Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 Sideline fan, I see on the post about the Evadale/HI game that Evadale won by 49. Did they drop back tot he running clock or half court man idea once the game became obvious? If the rules change during a game, no matter how lopsided it has become, what is the message being taught then. I agree, the better team should put in the bench and try to make it a better situation, but change rules? If it was me, at the end of the game I would like to know that I gave it all that I had and the team had. It is what it is. I think it would suck to know that the rules were changed more than getting my crap beaten out of me.

trophyman Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Evadale put there bench in 3min.left in 3rd and most of the 4th period
