Actually I played for Coach Penny at EC, I saw more Regional Tournaments than Hardin ever has. I said congrats to both teams already. It's a shame both of these teams played so poorly last night, but, one game and you're out in playoffs.

looks like they have been denied state this year.  :) hardin came to win and that is exactly what they did. if you are gonna do the talking you better do the walking.

Congrats to EC on a great season...  Sorry to hear it end the way it did.  Good luck to Buna and Hardin representing this district.  It would be nice to see everyone put this all behind and get behind both these teams.  What do ya think???

Hardin is actually only 2 years removed from back-to-back regional appearances themselves.  They are trying to build the type of tradition EC is known for.  Of course Hardin won multiple state championships in the 70's/80's but a lot of people don't remember that.  4 of the girls on this team are daughters or nieces of the state champions.

The last time Hardin went to regionals they beat Woodville in Silsbee to get there, so it's kind of neat that they won again at the same place.  This may develop into a good rivalry.  Congrats to Hardin and good luck to Buna tonight.
