katdaddy Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 It seems like the soccer section of this site is the bastard child, there are big tourneys going on, and I have not seen any scores. Unfortunately I do live in the area, can anyone take the point on this and be the official score poster? It would be much appreciated and keep out of town fans more involved in the soccer section. Whoever picks up the slack will be greatly rewarded!
Guest Newbie Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 The scores are there, buried under different threads. What is unfortunate is the lack of soccer coverage in the local media. The Beaumont Enterprise chooses to showcase basketball over soccer each time. If you check out Channels 4, 6, and 12, they report scores of boys and girls basketball from 1a to 5 a from within 50 miles of this area, but there is no mention of soccer. We consistently call in scores to the local media outlets so they can't cry they're not getting the reports, we are just IGNORED. If you want to get scores, try media outlets OUTSIDE this area, they do a better job. Even the Port Arthur news does a better job than the Enterprise.
