Guest coachacola Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Like a broken record, LU is losing early in the game 21-12.
UNLV Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Lamar really choked this game away. The Turnover Show and miss free throw sidekick. These players play like they never played basketball before.
Lazeek Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 This loss at home will come back to haunt them for getting into the conference tourney!!!!
LUFAN Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Man that was a disappointing game... Great Crowd.. Nabors had the best dunk i have ever seen at the montagne.... A reverse alley oop.
LU4LIFE Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Yea that was a nasty dunk and the best crowd of the season but in the end they did what they do best which is blow a lead due to turnovers and poor free throws shooting.
Lazeek Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 How many fans??? I could not make it!!!!!
LU4LIFE Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 They said that it was close to 4000 but i don't think they count all the members of the frats and soroities that were there. I think that it was closer to 5000 but that is just...... it was a pretty good crowd.
LUFAN Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I agree there were about 5k there.. It was by far the best crowd we have had since the Tech game last year.... Man I just do not get why we stayed in the zone when we kept getting burned... Those were also the worst refs I have seen in a very very long time...
LU4LIFE Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Yea it seems like the last few games the refs have been horrible.

Is so, WOW :o
LUFAN Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 That was pretty much what happened if it had been on film it would have made sportscenter top 10.... It was a no look lob pass then Nabors finished... I am just saying it was SICK!... I would have traded it for a W though.
whsalum Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 A loss to a very average Texas State club at home is not a good omen for the cards. They will be home come tourney time. :( :(
AggiesAreWe Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I was in attendance last night ( season ticket holder but that was just the 3rd game I have seen this year :-[). The alley oop dunk was one of the best I have ever seen. I agree, it would be a top 10 on ESPN.Lamar just can't handle the ball under pressure. Way too many turnovers. But my biggest pet peave is with Custer. That guy is weak underneath. He can't power anything to the rim. He constantly is getting the ball knocked from his hands or he is fumbling it himself while trying to go to the rim with it. Pathetic!
Guest coachacola Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 It seems as the offense gets better the defense gets worse. Now they'll have to win 2 or 3 road games just to make the SLC tourney. Looks like Newvo joined Nabors with a double-double, too bad it was wasted in a loss. How many games now have they had a double-digit lead in the second half only to see them throw it away? And what's the deal with the TOs? Are they forced or do they just get sloppy?
geezer Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 IMO the turnovers late in the game are a result of the guards deciding to play individual ball rather than running the offense. Both Miles and Harris hzve tendencies to drive into traps and loose the ball. When Lamar gets a lead one of two things happen, Roc spreads the floor and relys on Miles or Harris to drive and shoot a prayer, the intensity on defense falls or both.
Guest mffl Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 The guys were tired... Roc used 3 subs!! Stan Brown and Donley Minor only played sparingly also.
