Guest sal Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 If HJ plays with the lack of intensity they played with last night Silsbee will kill HJ.
FanintheStands Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 HJ will step up. They know what this game means and they will rise to the occasion. Silsbee will be missing Mr. Hill.HJ 68Silsbee 64
Guest SteelerFan05 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I think Silsbee will step it up a notch without having Hill and gets the win Tigers - 69Hawks - 65
UKCats Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Goin with the Tigers on this one. . .66-64 in overtime 8) 8) 8)
Lazeek Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 If the HJ team that shows up last night then Silsbee takes it..........if the HJ team that shows up against Kountze then HJ takes it. I am taking the Hawks........63-60!!!
Bobcat1 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I think it will be by at least 10ts...I'll decide later who I think wins. 8)
ST413 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Hard to make a prediction. HJ gets its energy from Turner if he is limited like last night it will be the Tigers game to take. The Tigers get a lot of there energy from Hill, without them they need good games from Lane and Stallworth and at least some help from one more guard. If they don't get this the Hawks should win.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I just can't possibly see how HJ can beat Silsbee. Their guard play is a little suspect but a good team from what I saw last night.
aTmfan06 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Limited Turner playing time=Tigers roll easy
ForeverADog Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 HJ has been struggling but silsbee is still missing Hill. That will keep it close. But home court advantage and better depth gives silsbee a win by 8 or 9
Lazeek Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 You can always throw records out in this matchup..........you never know, but there have been few blowouts in this series over the years regardless of where the games are played!!!
bullets13 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 i'd like to say that HJ is going to win, but i still believe that Silsbee is the favorite. that being said, HJ definitely has a team that's good enough to win this game. They're going to need Turner to stay out of foul trouble, and Sutherland to hit some shots. It would also help if Gus keeps draining threes. One possible advantage for HJ worth noting: coming off an easy win against HF, HJ struggled to run their press and offense against the much more athletic WOS team. Will Silsbee suffer the same jetlag that HJ did?
AggiesAreWe Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I see this as another battle. This game will be close from start to finish.I have noticed that HJ has had difficulty with athletic teams this year. They lost to Central and New Waverly, and won very close games over Kountze and WOS. I believe Silsbee is much longer and more athletic than all these teams. If the Tigers can maintain their focus and utilize their strengths (rebounding and defense) I see Silsbee winning this one, 67-58.

I could only assume that HJ wasn't as athletic as Silsbee and would probably have problems with athletic teams.
court side Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Silsbee by 6I think the size on the inside will be a little to muchin the end for HJ
PoppaBearstarr Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Well who knows, One thing for sureit will prolly be the most entertaining game of the night. Always is when these two teams square off. I'm going to have to go with my Hawks 73 to 62. They always playup for the big game.
iknoweverthing2 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 WITHOUT HILL IT WILL BE A STRUGGLE HJ IN OVERTIME BY 5
Lazeek Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010
WITHOUT HILL IT WILL BE A STRUGGLE HJ IN OVERTIME BY 5
Now I am worried!!!!!!!!! I felt really good about HJ winning until you posted that you thought that HJ would win.............you have been DEAD WRONG on every prediction that you have made this year.........now you pick HJ!!!! No doubt that Silsbee takes it now!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

aTmfan06 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Well these two teams have changed alot since last year.
Guest SteelerFan05 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I am just wondering? ::) Not looking to base what happened last year to what will happen this year
Lazeek Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 AAW will have that info........if I remember Silsbee won at HJ by like 8-10 and HJ won at Silsbee by like 2-4 and Silsbee won 3rd game at PNG by like 5-7!!! I could be wrong on all 3........I just remember who wins!!!
Guest swag Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Who starts for Hj? If that sophomore isn't on the court at the beginning of the game then Silsbee is gonna jump all on Hj early. Hj starting 5 is too weak and small for Silsbee. Silsbee goes on a 10-0 run untill the subs come in.
