court side Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Ok guys lets hear it, whatcha think ;D
Rebel Yeller Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Should be a great game with plenty of fans in the stands. The Rebels have put together an impressive run in the first four games in district play as have the Pirates. Playing in Spurger is an advantage for the Pirates, but I believe this Rebel team just has what it takes to notch a big win on the road Friday night. My predition is Rebels by 4 in an overtime thriller!
6thman Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Spurger by 8This will be a tough one from the tip until the last buzzer.
trophyman Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 strapem on tight this is gonna be a barn burnerThe Rebels are comming to play ball
True Blue Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I would love to see the Rebs put a win in this weeks column, but keeping it real I think the lack of a true point guard will hurt the Rebs. I see Spurger winning this one by 15. JMO I think Murphy and Blankenship will even each other out, and I see Evadales two big post Stark, and Tucker will even out with Big George. That leaves the two point guards, I think McGallion is one of the best true point guards in the area. Wish I could be at this game ???
court side Posted January 28, 2010 Author Report Posted January 28, 2010 Shain Rawls and Jarom Odom will be big in this game.To much attention will be on Whittaker and Blakenship so McGallion willfind the open guys.Spurger by 10
oilerman21 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 People say that Spurger vs. Sabine Pass will be judgement day for Spurger but i think that this will be judgement day. If the pirates want it then they can win it. But its gonna be a close one. I say Spurger by 14
whsalum Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I give Spurger a huge advantage at the point, post and the shooters spot.Evadale won't get the turnovers on the press and I don't think 14 is considered close. That sounds about right though.I'll go:Spurger=68Evadale=54
underarmor Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 This should be a great game.I will take Evadale on a buzzer beater by Murphy
CATMAN Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010
This should be a great game.I will take Evadale on a buzzer beater by Murphy
No buzzer beater in this game. ;D ;D ;D
whsalum Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 The fact that some folks think this game is going to be close is an indication of how far Coach Wilkins has brought this program. They won't win at Spurger but they have came a long way from where they were last year.
lildipngal Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010
Ok guys lets hear it, whatcha think ;D
Its gonna be a good one everyone from Spurger put your boots on!
sports talk Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Take away the points evadale gets off the press and you take away (IMO) 1/3 of their points.Spurger is not going to turn it over that much. The guards are to good for that.Spurger 68REBS 52I also think if evadale stays in the press to longit might get out of hand
court side Posted January 29, 2010 Author Report Posted January 29, 2010 I think they(evadale) stayed with the press a little tolong last year.In same token and to be fair to evadale coach, its hard to give up onsomething you have your game planed around.
