baseballjunkie Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 he signed with Baltimore for a year!gahh, Houston really needs to get off the bench and make a ballTEAM!
AJ25 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Maybe you should read a couple of other threads to see what they've already done this year.. It's been their most active off-seasons in recent memory.
mat Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I haven't kept up with recent trades or acquisitions. Tejada is a huge hole to fill in the roster and was a real key player last year, one of my favorites. What do they have now or what will they do?
AJ25 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 If you mean Shortstop.. They have a rookie named Tommy Manzella. He's the same mold as Adam Everett, except with a better bat. Plus, he comes 10 times more cheap than Miggy would have been, and he's YOUNG.
baseballjunkie Posted February 3, 2010 Author Report Posted February 3, 2010 well they haven't done anything that really captures anybody's attention like they need to do. They need to improve a LOT from last year's club. I have heard of Manzella though, and I sure loved to watch Adam play short!
AJ25 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 They don't need to improve THAT much... This is the same team that was 1 game out of first place at the beginning of August. The same team minus Miggy. This is an improved team, with a better and more experienced (Paulino, Bazardo, and Norris) rotation. This will be an improved club. I don't know if we will make the playoffs, but it will be improved.
Guest Orangeboy Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Hopefully Carlos Lee will be next!
2throwrundown Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Lee isn't going anywhere until that contract is up. Gotta love those no trade clauses

The same team as last year = Burkman, Lee, Ozwalt, Blum, Matsui and others are one year older, heavier and slower. I'm not saying these guys can't play but there has not been much overall team improvement. JMO
