1.  Coach Wise wearing a red t-shirt with yellow writing under his sports coat!!! :D :D :D

Just curious a lot has been said about Silsbee's size this year. Not in any way trying to say the tigers could play with Yates,  but I am wondering how big Yates starting 5 are.

warmups, maybe.  an undersized defense that is very good, but probably not half the defense that yates has, held the tigers to 50 points (and the tigers weren't really playing stall ball).

[/quote]not true ::) Silsbee is very athletic for this area. But in the bigger scheme of things, Silsbee would be very average against Yates. Yates has played and beaten much better teams than Silsbee.

It doesn't matter. Silsbee would not be able to beat Yates. I doubt that they could hang very long with them. Yates is playing a different ball game than Silsbee.

JY has a couple of playes who are bigs. The Santee kid is about 6'5" and there is another big. But those guards control the flow of the outcome.

I was never even trying to imply the Tigers could play with them.I don't even think that is a good debate.  Our guard play is.not strong enough. I just wondered with all that has been said about how big we are how our size compares with a larger school as good as Yates.

Yates isnt built for size. They are built for full-court and up-tempo play. This team wont lose if they keep playing like this.

Yates may not bebuilt for size but with 9 out of 15 players listed at 6'2 or better and 4 of those 6'5-6'9 I would think they are one of the bigger teams in the state as well.

I got a chance to see Yates play this weekend and I was impressed. They have a lot of discipline on that team. They run sprints at half time...WOW...
