Colmesneil is always tough and West Sabine is always right there too, so I guess it will probably come down to who can avoid injuries, and get their pitching straight.
JCfan Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 It will be interesting. I would want to pick Chester in this district. They have the talent, but I have a few concerns that may not play a part. I wish I knew what Broaddus and Brookeland have. What about Colmesniel and West Sabine? Whoever whens this district will have to play every game out and have at least three good pitchers. Eight team district! Play hard Jackets, it will take it to win it!
Guest Burkeville Chronicle Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 Watch out for the Mustangs.....a team that may surprise some people...new head coach and a few new players that will help. Play ball!
Mustang-Fan Posted February 5, 2010 Report Posted February 5, 2010 West sabine comes out on top no doubt!
Chester86 Posted February 6, 2010 Report Posted February 6, 2010 Those associated with those communities......would be my guess. :o
TannerNeal Posted February 8, 2010 Author Report Posted February 8, 2010 Everyone is forgetting Zavalla they were the third place team last year and with returning players they should be in the hunt. They had a solid freshman last year and he should be twice as good this year.
justryansmom Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 With the game Chester played yesterday (in the rain and sleet), they look like the team to beat. After the injuries in football season, it is great to see those kids out there playing. Jacob Barnes (#5) was life flighted from that season ending football game (at HI). He had 7 RBI's last night and Chester wins 9-1. Go Jackets!!!![move]GO HIGH ISLAND CARDINALS!!![/move]
BucketSitR Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Who did they play HI? Chester was rather a scrappy team last year as well. Good Luck to all in the district. Look forward to some great games. Does every team have a JV this year? Heard that they should.
justryansmom Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 They played Warren. Luckily for me - since I am a Cardinal fan through and through - the Cards and Jackets do not meet on the baseball field this year. Lucky because I have become a Chester fan as well since October 2009 and especially a Jacob Barnes fan!!! ;D
Chester86 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Way to go Jackets..I am expecting a great season from them this year.
JCfan Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Sounds like a good start. Hoping for the best and these boys are scrappy, especially on the baseball field. Stay determined and just play good baseball, the rest will come. Tanner, I expect you to hit 400 this year!

He is not 100% YET, but you'd never know it on the diamond. He's literally batting .1000. 6 for 6, 7 rbi's. Can't wait to see what he'll do when he IS 100%!
washedup Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 well im glad to hear he is better that is good news for the jackets, he is a good ballplayer. who pitched for chester
