AggiesAreWe Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 The all time record between Kirbyville and Silsbee is 11-1, in favor of Silsbee. Kirbyville's only win in the matchup was a 29-28 win 3 years ago.
JCfan Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 I do love it when people present facts and not thoughts! ;) ;)
kville_11 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 i heard they are appealing the 3a count beacuse we were right on the line and some kids checked out so now we have enough kids to be in 2a ;D ;D

They are a very good program and have risen from less than mediocrity to more than respected and in some cases feared by their opponents. Good coaching with talented players will bring a successful result. Kville will do well in either class and not all 2A programs that are good in 2A could be good in 3A like Kville could. They will not be a power house, but will be competitive and still could go far.

China Springs went to the state game that year.... they have many returning and will be a force in 3A. Go Cats!!!!

But they refuse to play such a close opponent. Instead they play Newton. Lets see , drive through Kville to play Newton, how embarrassing.
Guest Jmeek Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 No coach is affraid to play any team, Newton and Silbee have a long standing rivarly. Newton has been good for a long time, Just give Kville time ,if they do good in 3a like I think they will. they will be one more step closer to getting the kind of respect theat Newton gets all over the State. (Not Just in SETX) I just ready to see WEEK 0: NEWTON VS KVILLE
Guest pirates Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Kirbyville and Vidor will see each other in week 2 of the season. It will most likely be played at a neutral site. This is because Vidor will bring 5 to 6 thousand fans.Or,Can Kirbyville hold that many visitor fans?
BoboandBlair Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Anyone on here talking up Silsbee is full of themselves. They are the most underachieving team in SE Texas. They act like they are good, but yet can't win more than 1 playoff game. When is the last time they have been past the second round? Great talent, but decect-at-best teams.

Silsbee plays Lumberton, it don't get much closer than that. ;)As for playing Newton, Silsbee has had a long standing relationship with Newton and each team looks forward to playing one another every year.If you are referring to Silsbee turning down Kirbyville this year, that didn't happen at all. I was standing right next to Coach McGallion when Coach Alverez asked him to play. Silsbee had already completed their schedule. In fact McGallion has had his schedule set since December based on the district remaining the same. It's comical to think Silsbee is running from Kirbyville. ;DSilsbee is scrimmaging them though. ;)
