Guest Coach or Die 67 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 How does this district playout everyone?AnahuacBunaHardinKountzeNewtonWarrenWinnie East ChambersWoodville
AggiesAreWe Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 I say Newton and Woodville are the two playoff reps from this district.
Rebel4Christ Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Newton and Anahuac. Anahuac is loaded coming back.
alice Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 If I remember right EC beat Anahuac and Woodville this year. Ec returns a lot of starters also. Should make for an exciting district.
Guest A-TOWN Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Dang i wish 3 teams would make the playoffs
ECC95 Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Should make for an interesting year in this district. let the trash talking begin.
Anafanatic Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Should be interesting...Barbay vs. Barbay to say the least. It's an 8 team district, which I don't like cause there's not much of a preseason, however, should be one of the toughest 2A districts in the state....the 2 teams to emerge should be battle-tested. My guess as of now is Anahuac & Newton, but anything can happen on any given night, eh neighbor?
SteelerCzy Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010
I'm thinking ec and Newton
Newton first and a game between EC and Anahuac I would pay to see for 2nd.
alice Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Thank goodness Kirbyville moved to 3a or they would probably be in this district also. Should cause a lot of sleepless nights throughout the district with such a competitve district schedule. Go Bucs
woodville_eagles Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Woodville and Newton in the playoffs
Rebel Yeller Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 This is argueably the best 2A football district in the state. There is be nothing but big games on the schedule every Friday night. Newton will likely be the pre season favorite but with five or the eight teams being playoff teams from this year there will surely be an upset or two along the way.Great story lines...EC vs. Anahuac, Newton Barbay vs. Anahuac Barbay, Newton and Woodville both move, but both stay in same district, Warren vs. Woodville, Kountze - Buna - Hardin and Warren working to climb into the top spots against the other four schools. All of that and only two playoff spots! WOW! Sounds like an exciting season in 10-2A.
ECBuc08 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 EC has a good group of players coming back.. Newton is always good.. Anahuac will be good.. Hardin and Buna are always decent and competitive.. Woodville, playoff team from last year.. Kountze.. eh.. they are better at basketball but could pull some upsets.. and Warren.. well maybe they will start getting better after a couple of down years.. EC's jv last year went undefeated so they got some good people coming up. Should be fun!
Lion1 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 At least now the District Championship means something!
Lion1 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Now you win DC you play a second place team,in the past with big school, little school, you could win DC and play a District Campion in the first round!
Bucof2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 I see what your saying but every single team wanted to win it as bad then as they do now
Lion1 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Agree, just sometimes you were not rewarded for it!
