the_dude_abides
Are the rockets going to pull the trigger on a deal or what? Part of me wonders if they would be better off holding the contract and going after some players in free agency. I would really like to see Joe Johnson in a rocket uniform, but I don't know if it would happen.
shorttexas1
The latest is a trade with the Wiz for Haywood and Butler. The hold up has been that the Wiz want Scola and the Rockets only want to offer financial relief. I think it would be a good trade though. I would hate to lose Scola but you will get a 6'11" back-up Center that is a 10-10 guy. He would start now in the place of Yao, and make Landry thee starting PF (Anderson & Hayes off the bench)!! Butler would start now and he would be the guy other than Brooks that could make his own shot! Then Ariza and Battier (bench) would be a never ending defensive strong hold. Could you imagine Ariza goes to the bench and the offensive player saying, "good finally a break" only to see Battier come to the scorers table? Also, with the high volume of good young bigs that will be available in the draft, they should be able to get another impact big... Tyrone_Biggums
The trade deadline is getting closer. Does anybody have any sights that have good information on rumors. I like www.hoopshype.com but it would be cool to find a few other sights with good info. Houston media kind of sucks as far as trade talk goes. the_dude_abides
I keep hearing rumors about the knicks wanting Mcgrady. But when I look at their roster, I see a whole bunch of garbage. Any ideas on a third team that could make a trade with the knicks worthwhile. I also wonder if we could get the knicks to toss in some picks and david lee. Cuttino Mobley is still counting against their cap...hilarious. the_dude_abides
The latest...McGrady to the Knicks, Harrington to the Wizards, Butler and Haywood to the Rockets. The wizards are looking for another player and some cash to sweeten the deal. This is off of hoopshype and yahoo. I like this one.

ForeverADog
The Knicks trying to get in the discussion. I think the Rockets have to make a move. Absolutely have too
the_dude_abides
So, the rockets are getting martin and some scrubs from sacramento and giving up their ability to acquire a big name free agent next year AND Carl Landry. I like Martin, but it seems like the price is a little high. I hope we can squeeze a draft pick out of someone to compensate for losing Landry. Bucof2010
They should have kept Landry but getting rid of T-mc was the important thing now that he's gone they can work to get a big name next yr.Tmc raped the rockets worse than any player at any franchise ever
the_dude_abides
My favorite contract bandit is Matt Maloney. That guy collected a check from the Rockets for five years after he was out of the league.

shorttexas1
This draft is deep with quality big men and they are actually big (unlike the 6'7" Landry) I like Landry but there is pelnty of opportunity in the draft and free agency. We needed a scoring two guard and now we have him!
