Another solid win for the Tigers. Silsbee was able to play all 11 players in this game with the second five getting lot's of playing time tonight. The first quarter was a bit slow as both teams weren't shooting the ball very well, Silsbee missing several chances inside after getting some offensive rebounds. The Tigers finally scored the final 5 points of the quarter to lead by 7, 16-9. In the second quarter the Tiger defense took over. Silsbee forced BC into committing 12 turnovers in the quarter resulting in Silsbee opening the second on a 14-0 run to take a 30-9 lead. The Cardinals finally got on the board in the 2nd quarter at the 1:40 mark and the half ended with the Tigers leading 34-11. Silsbee was led by Lane's 13 first half points.

The second half was just a continuance of the 2nd quarter as the Tiger defense continued to cause turnovers and getting some easy buckets off the break. Silsbee extended their lead to 50-15, then traded baskets with BC, ending the 3rd up 56-21. Bridge City continued to turn the ball over and also stayed cold from the 3 point line. It wasn't until McAnnelly hit 2 three's in row to break a 1 for 13 streak from three point land. Silsbee's subs closed out the game, winning 85-36.

Silsbee again dominated the boards out rebounding BC 49-33 led by Jones' 13 rebounds. Silsbee also collected 9 block shots with Thomas getting 4 to run his season total to 156, just 6 shy of the school record.

Both teams shot terrible from the 3 point line. Not too many fouls were called tonight as the Cards only went to the line 6 times tonight.

The biggest difference was in the turnover column as BC committed 34 turnovers to the Tigers 14. Several of those Cardinal turnovers led to easy Tiger points.

Prentice Lane was the man tonight scoring 23, attacking the basket with great skill. Kendrick Jones had another great night as he scored 15 and collected a game high 13 rebounds. Jones has grabbed 45 rebounds in the last 3 games. The twin towers also threw down 5 dunks tonight as Jones got a couple of alley's to cap his night off.

Silsbee runs their current win streak to 16 games and improves to 7-0 in district. Solid win tonight for the Tigers.
