Daingerfield will not be as good as they were the last two seasons
You are correct..they lost a ton of seniors ..I don't know what they got coming back,But Newton will hang with them this year...I think Newton if they stay healthy, will take it all...

Did not loose alot of talent this year, a few key players (QB Halston Flannigan DE Malcolm Mattox)were loss but there is alot more coming back than what Newton loss. they should have a much better D and the O is going to be taken over by last year's starting soph Trevor holmes who started at outsidelinebacker but played QB on 7th 8th and JV but has no experience at Varsity QB. He is a good kid smart with a great arm and he can run, it will be interesting to see if he can grasp the Offense by week 1, He will be tested early by a good Kville D. Also All state selection RB:Kelvin Bennett is back and 3/4 of the D is also returning.
The Toughest test's of the regular season should be the Kirbyville Wildcats with Silsbee being a far second. then Corrigan Anahuac and EC
Daingerfield returns 6 all-state players, including 5 FBS recruits, the best defensive player in the state at any level, and a QB that has started 32 games, going 30-2 with two state titles.

Daingerfield's JV lost one game, their 9th grade only a couple (playing very tough competition- Celina, Gilmer, etc.).  The 8th grade was undefeated and never tested.

Daingerfield will be strong again.

Newton will beat them in that game
Luckily for Newton, they will not have to play Daingerfield until the state championship game (if both teams are lucky enough- or good enough to make it).

Daingerfield will be better than Newton..... again.

Keyarris Garrett (TSWA); Steve Edmond (AP&TSWA); Shayvion Hatten (AP&TSWA); Donald Bryant (AP& TSWA); Tyler Boyd (AP&TSWA); David Mims (TSWA).

6 all-state players.

If  you are going to accuse someone of lying, maybe you should get your facts straight first.

There you go.

Now, tell me... where is all the talent in Newton?  Outside of the two runningbacks and Arnold, what does Newton have that would make me believe they will be better than Daingerfield?

From ESPN Insider:

Daingerfield juniors Keyarris Garrett (Daingerfield, Texas), offensive tackle Shayvion Hatten (Daingerfield, Texas), corner David Mims (Daingerfield, Texas) and quarterback Tyler Boyd (Daingerfield, Texas) attended the Houston Cougars junior day on Sunday...

Junior corner David Mims (Daingerfield, Texas/Daingerfield) is another prospect on the Tigers receiving interest. Several FBS programs, including Baylor, are showing interest...
