baseballfan4life Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 How do you think Lumberton is going to do this year. After all the trouble they went through last year, how do you think there going to do?
tictac Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Lumberton is a little weak on pitching but should have great fielding and possibly offense. It will defiantly be an interesting year.
baseball_1989 Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 i agree with the pitching part... i play for lumberton, and im also a pitcher.. we dont really have anyone that throws extremley hard, but were working really hard on control and pitch variations. if we can throw every pitch we have for a strike, i think we'll be ok!
baseball alumni Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 Lumberton will be pretty good. They just need to work on control in the strike zone and it will be alright. They will surprise some folks.
raidernation Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Bryce DeJohn will be a good addition to the pitching staff. He could have pitched on varsity last year but the coach didn't like that he played soccer.
baseballfan4life Posted November 8, 2006 Author Report Posted November 8, 2006 Bryce DeJohn will be a good addition to the pitching staff. He could have pitched on varsity last year but the coach didn't like that he played soccer. Well maybe he should just choose one out of the two....
retiredoldcoach Posted November 10, 2006 Report Posted November 10, 2006 Bryce DeJohn will be a good addition to the pitching staff. He could have pitched on varsity last year but the coach didn't like that he played soccer. Good decision by the coach. Seeing the fact that soccer plays Tuesday and Friday, and baseball plays Tuesday and Friday, I can understand wholeheartedly why the coach would have a problem with a kid playing on his team that might, or might not, be there. Soccer ends well into baseball district. I wonder if the AD would have a problem if his starting QB were to miss about six out of ten football games because he had Friday night cross country meets? (if thats was when they were) The answer is, he would find a qb that will be at all 10 games. Just as your bb coach did.
