Longhorn Fan Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 I would have to say Ang Green, Brandi Fowler both from Silsbee and Denetra Kellum from Kirbyville
Guest bleed orange Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 While those players you mentioned are good. There is some you left off that are just as good if not better than the ones you mentioned. You have one in you own backyard, Memeri Cameron(HF) then there is Brittany Scott(WOS), Chelsa Pickering,Courtney Wilson from Lumberton. Then there is the girls from Orangefield. I will not mention any names but they have 7 seniors and 2 juniors and they all can play. I am sure you can add some to my list. There alot of good players in this area.
Guest Lil Pop Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Nancy from Central has the best dribbles I have never seen on a girl
silsbeeladyhoopstar20 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 I completely agree with longhorn fan
LadyTiger12 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 umm the longhorn fan is right....yeah Bscott she good and Memri can be contained...but other than that..i dont know
bobcat4life Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Best players in the area are: Brittany Scott, Memri Carmen, ChelseaPickering, Courtney Wilson, Brandi Fowler, Kristy Sanders, KK Little, Jessica Shores. I haven't seen the girl from Kirbyville play, but I understand she is good. Of course it depends on what you are basing it on. I for one look for the complete game, if all you can do is score, then you aren't all that good. What I wanna see is assists/points/steals/rebounds. Put all that together and then you decide who the best players are.
silsbeeladyhoopstar20 Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Well everyone will see soon. Particularly 21-3a is loaded with talent and the best will match up.We'll see who produces and whos overated and underated.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Dee from K-Ville....i dare someone to play her one-on-one...
SportsReport Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Kristy Sanders over in OF sure is a nice player. Doesnt always lite up the stat sheets but she is everywhere on the court just making things happen. In fact the whole OF team is like that but she is the center piece. I saw her and her sister in a tournament last year and loved their style of playl.
bobcat4life Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 The question is, does the young lady from Kirbyville have any help? That is the problem with most people's mindset about basketball. That is why our NBA players go and lose in international basketball. Face the facts, Great TEAMS always beat great players.
bobcat4life Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 And.... Kristy is a wonderful player but what makes OF so good is the fact that they have several good players. Let any of them free and they will make you pay.
LadyTiger12 Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 OF is good because they been playin together 4e..and they play TEAM ball and thats all u need
Guest bleed orange Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 And that is why I like girls basketball because they tend to play team ball more than boys do.
Lady_Titan21 Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 my girl britany kinlaw from PA memorial and that girl from central dont have no skills on my cousin and well see on NOvember 24 when PAM and central meet up in our house!
Guest Lil Pop Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 britany who??? when the last time you guys made the playoff ............... I know its been a long time
bobcatfan33 Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 Jessica Shores, hands down. The girl can play down low and hit the 3 ball, and she is an awesome defensive player.
bobcat4life Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 It is very difficult to decide the best player in the area because it is hard to compare different positions. For instance, the best post player in the area in my opinion is Courtney Wilson. She has the size and athletic ability to dominate games. The best 4 in the area is Memri Carmon, she can post you up and make a great post move, or she can take it outside and kill you with the 3. Best 3 in the area, Chelsea Pickering, she is athletic and kills you with her competitiveness. She never stops moving and just makes it happen. Best 2, KK Little. She can shoot the ball extremely well and is quick enough to take you to the basket. Best 1, Brittany Scott and Kristy Sanders. Brittany is the quickest female I have ever seen and jumps very quickly. She has improved her shooting and is great at penetrating defenses. Kristy understands the game and is great at seeing the entire floor. She knows when to slow it down and when it is time to run. Good shooter and passer, and excellent defensive player. Most versatile player is Jessica Shores, she can, and will play anywhere on the court. Very unselfish and will go inside and fight it out with much taller players for rebounds. Great passer and shooter.
vandal Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 WO-S' Brittney Scott has to be the top college prospect around and she'll be a serious threat in the NCAA ranks running the point for some lucky team. Lumberton's Pickering is stout as well.
Lady_Titan21 Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 britany who??? when the last time you guys made the playoff ............... I know its been a long time britany kinlaw she made 1st team all-district last season and last time we went to the playoffs was in 2004 but it's going down this year!!
Guest sportsfanatic Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 All of the above players are excellent. Let's not forget about Jacques from BC...not too bad herself
AshlyHasBeen Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 One of my favorite players I've covered is Kristy Sanders, very classy girl who plays with a lot of heart and fire. Also I have to agree with everything said about Scott and Pickering.
shsladytiger31 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 The best players from Silsbee are.......#12 and #20. They are 2 of the great players that I have seen before.
LadyTigersOn3_123 Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 The best players from Silsbee are.......#12 and #20. They are 2 of the great players that I have seen before. I can agree on that too..they have a good drives in the paint..an excellent outside shots..
