LU beats Lyon College 75-46

No surprises here.  Nabors took the night off, Miles didn't play much.  The bench players got a lot of playing time.

Yep. I liked seeing the 4 freshmen playing so much together. And if Mathis would learn to play hard defense he could see a lot of playing time. He is a good scorer. One bad thing is I think we missed more lay ups then 3 pointers. Can't keep doing that!

If Wesley improves his ball handling, then he could be a really good player for us. Stan Brown is gonna be a beast one day.

Wesley hit his Free Throws!!! Looks like he is trying to develop an outside game. At 6'9" he could be a real matchup problem outside in a couple of years.

Mathis looked like that three point threat we have been missing. I know it was Lyon College, but he was hitting from four feet beyond the arc, most teams don't gaurd out that far and if they do it will help your inside game!

Wesley will be a big contributor next season, mark my words.  Mathis will be the added depth we need in due time.  He can hit from the perimeter.

Any win is big, but I know that I'm not trying to sugar coat it.  It's not going to help them against Corpus Christi and Sam.  The team is young and developing.  It's likely not to be noticed until next season.

I agree but this is what has become of our men's basketball program that can barely qualify for the lowly SLC tournament!  We crow over a victory over Lyons College.  I think I'm going to go to our games with a bag over my head like the Aints used to do.  I just need a name to use instead of Aints.  How about Losemar?  Or Can'tinals?  Little Red?  Big Pink?  BIG DED?  Lastmar?

I agree but this is what has become of our men's basketball program that can barely qualify for the lowly SLC tournament!  We crow over a victory over Lyons College.  I think I'm going to go to our games with a bag over my head like the Aints used to do.  I just need a name to use instead of Aints.  How about Losemar?  Or Can'tinals?  Little Red?  Big Pink?  BIG DED?  Lastmar?
