I have got a real laugh out of this whole thread.  I played under Coach Walker and Coach Tarver. I enjoyed and respected them both. They were both good coaches who cared about kids and the community. The bottom line is that when realignment put HF in the same district with WOS,Silsbee, Kirbyville, Jasper, etc. in the past few years it got real tough. Not only HF but HJ, and OF have trouble matching up with them in football because of the # of kids and athletes.  There have been no Flip Johnsons or Felman Malveaux's at HF since the 90's. Those kids are not there anymore, that's a fact. Coach Tarver had a couple of 2-8 years but also won a lot of games in his tenure. Many of the mob wanted him gone when he left. Coach Walker had them in the playoffs his second season and then got the toughest district the school had ever seen. Even though they played hard they wanted him gone to. Now HF is in it's current state. 0-10 for the first time in school history and enrollment falling like a rock.  It might be to late now, but until the school board supports an A.D and stops bending over for the idiots in the community it will never get much better.
