Go-rilla Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 WOW!!!Cant remember t-town scoring 100 in a varsity game!
Hupernikomen Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010
2003
Did they? I remember Brackett and crew scoring close to 90 a time or 2, but not 100.
txstatebobcat Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 If I remember correctly, we beat Huffman 100-90 that year.
Socrates Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 I would think Chris Wilson and company also hit that many a few times.

Go-rilla Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 100 vs huffman does not count. they are not a real team!!!C. Wilson probably got in to the 100's. Brackett was'nt a good enough scorer to get his teams into the 100's!!!
Socrates Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 You know I can't let that one pass.Brackett didn't have quite the team around him that Wilson did.Almost, but not quite.
sports fan 929 Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010 Doesnt matter hands down wilson was a way better player there is no comparison
Hupernikomen Posted February 16, 2010 Report Posted February 16, 2010
100 vs huffman does not count. they are not a real team!!!C. He was as good as they come in finishing, but outside shooting wasn't his forte. I know he put up 30 or more on many occasions. I am quite sure he averaged 20-22 per game his senior year. That is a pretty good scorer in my book.
sports fan 929 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Still not even close to Wilson
Socrates Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 But Brackett played on both ends of the court. Wilson will tell you himself that.
sports fan 929 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Doesnt matter couldn nobody hold wilson. Wilson was the best basketball player to come thru tarkington hands down
Socrates Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Maybe one hand down.I wish I could have seen Belver, that is the third name that pops up in discussions with people who know.
thickems Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Was brackett the good uaterback that handed off to those newton twins?...If so he was a pretty dang good point!
Socrates Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Brackett let the Newton's play on his team.
Go-rilla Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Dont remember the Twins, but Brackett was making all the plays vs splendora that year.
Hupernikomen Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010
Brackett let the Newton's play on his team.
Well maybe in basketball but the Newton's were the heart of the team in football. To thickems: They were 2 years older than Brackett and I don't believe he was their quarterback that would have been R. Snell. He was quarterback after that though.
