This isn't a football thread, but if you're gonna mention R.Snell. You have to mention Roberts (I think Taylor). That kid was a beast in the backfield. Someone who follows the Horns more closely may be able to verify this.

Brackett's team used to pound on the Newtons daily in practice. Coaches had to quit letting the two squads go at it. ;D ;D

if u want to talk about good players in tarkington history u have 2 mention ryan brewer he was a beast his senior year he caried  that team averg. 27 points a game.

Now now.  Those sophomores were good but they weren't pounding anyone in practice.  It was competitive at times.

I think were talking about players that were in ttown before you were born. Maybe you should find a different thread to interject your opinion on.

I was good freinds with Coach Dixon and that was a good team. Where are those kids now? They had a six five center name Clint and a quick foward that could jump out of the gym. Newton twins played football at Etbu and both were class.

Brewer could play- no doubt, but
Belver
Wilson
Brackett
were in a different league.

Would have liked to have seen Brewer on a little better team his senior year. He had no help and saw a box-one every night. Still put up good numbers.

Yeah them three are way better but evans and havard they werent better than brewer and plus basketball wasnt even his sport baseball is he got a full ride to play baseball and is doing really good his first start he pitched a shut out.

I know this reply is late but If I remember correctly Havard and Evans were average and Brewer could play. I agree with Socrates I would have liked to seen Brewer on a better team his senior year.
