I say Texas should go so Lamar can get that Big 12 invite.

I also heard about the Pac -10 wanting Utah,Colorado or BYU to expand to 12. Maybe this is the beginning of the conference realignments...and also might cause Lamar to make a move sooner than later to the WAC, Sunbelt or a new combo southwest conference.

I heard about this on PTI yesterday. I can't see a single good reason why Texas would do it. I could see the SEC, maybe, but neither of those...

I doubt that would happen, but there's going to be some conference shakeups happening in the next few years.  And with schools like UTSA, Charlotte, Georgia State, Texas State, Jacksonville State, Lamar and a few others thinking about going FBS, there's going to be FBS conference for Lamar in the future.  Outside of the SLC and the SWAC, there's not any FCS conference in this part of the country, so going FBS makes sense.

The Only GOOd move for Texas would be to the SEC..And have Oklahoma,A&M, and Tech as Non-Confrence Games..Now that would be a tough slate

Wouldn't doubt it...

Vandy makes $7-10M more per year than Texas from TV revenues per a CBS sports article that came out recently.
