HJ2012 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Hj freshman were co-district champs. Hj jv won district. It's like I said from the beginnig of last year. That group is going to be good!!!
bullets13 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 HJ has a couple of really solid players coming up from what i saw tonight. a couple of big bruisers, one who has really good body control for his size, and another who's just huge right now (probably 6-4, 240 as a freshman), but will develop as he gets used to his size, as well as HJ's usual assortment of great shooters and talented point guards.
Wildcatter Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Tied with Orangefield, OF should have won district easily but HJ caught them on a bad night
ST413 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 I believe HJ will be real good next year, a lot coming up.
PoppaBearstarr Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Both teams (HJ and Silsbee) should be really good next year, all three games were very good.

HJ2012 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Who all comes back for you guys next year?
ST413 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Stallworth , Lane, and the top three subs Harris, Gaines and Barrett. Along with some more of the bench.
HJ2012 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 You should get some help with the jv as well.........
ST413 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Some help but no size, best player on JV is point guard. Great ball handler and passer. Two other pretty good guards/ forwards as well.

cameron09 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 The H-J freshman post is 6"6" ,230 lbs and still only 14 years old. Pershon is a sophmore and he is 6'4" with and probably about 210.

Of course, he's already more agile was than Ricossa was at his age, so there is much to look forward to. I'd like to see him work on agility over the off-season and see the same kind of improvement that I've witnessed from Phillip.
cameron09 Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Pershon is plenty quick, he just needs to grow into those size 18"s ;D :)
ShayneBasketball Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 Ozen Freshman team is the best freshman team in this area...District Champs 20-2
Guest jettyman Posted February 17, 2010 Report Posted February 17, 2010 I hope his feet don't grow anymore shoes are getting more and more difficult to locate. 18's are prevalent but a 19 would pose a challenge.
