20-4A gets good draw

All 4 teams that make the playoffs from district 20-4A get the benefit of a good placement in the bracket in regards to how far they can get into the playoffs before they see the three best teams in Region III in Yates, LaMarque or Friendswood.

The #1 and #3 seeds would not see #1 Yates until the Regional finals, would not see #3 LaMarque until the Regional semi-finals, and would not see #8 Friendswood until the Regional finals.

The #2 and #4 seed would not see Yates until the regional semi-finals, LaMarque in the Regional finals, and Friendswood until the Regional semi-finals.

All four teams can go 3 to 4 rounds deep before seeing any of these top teams.

Note: Yates and Friendswood look to play each other in the 2nd round, thus eliminating one of the top three after the second round.

I think Nederland may go farthest from this district coach Boutte would have that group looking like state contenders if it weren't for Yates...I hope the final team from this district ends up playing Yates just to say they lost to (or beat) the best

Thats right and I would hope the best for my Bulldogs, but Yates would eat us alive.. I hope some team from our district can make it that far.

It's a shame that Friendswood ( and most other teams in 4a) will have to play Yates. Got to see some of their kids play this summer and they have a pretty good team.
