No doubt TxST and SHSU will have strong to great teams this season, and UTSA and SELA will be scratching on those two's heels, but I think LU just may surprise.  If the new fielders/hitters can adjust to the D1 level then the Cards could be ready to make a post-season run.

Should be exciting!

In what way?

By not preparing the team for conference play? By killing their RPI for an at-large bid?

They're non-conference schedule won't really hurt them. It's a good schedule for a young team. As far as RPI stuff goes most of the time the Southland gets 1 to 2 teams in Regionals. The tournament champ is automatic and the regular season champ usually gets a shot.

Didn't make it but news said Eric went 6 with 3 hits

Eric looked great. A transformer blew in the bottom of the 6th and caused a 45 minute delay. I think he had a lot more in the tank but the delay killed that. Then Steward came in for an inning or so and got roughed up a bit but Holly came in and took care of business.
