AggiesAreWe
Since I am not an HJ guy, I can look ahead to what potential matchups the Hawks may endeavor in the playoffs. (I know that the Hawk team is focused on the game at hand)If HJ wins against Tarkington, they will face Navasota for the 4th year in a row. (HJ has knocked Navasota out of the playoffs three straight years now).If HJ manages to defeat Navasota, their most likely next round opponent will be Cleveland. Cleveland will face Madisonville in the Area round. HJ knocked Cleveland out of the playoffs last year as well. With those victories, that would put HJ in the regional tourney for the 4th straight year. Their three most likely opponents for the semis would be either Bullard (a team that HJ beat at the HJ tourney this year) or Mexia (ranked in the top 20) or Center (18-3A undefeated district champ and #25 in the polls). All this could lead to a regional final matchup with Silsbee (of course the Tigers would have to take care of their business too).I post this because I am of the opinion that the #2 seed out of 21-3A has to run a gauntlet these last two years. HJ definitely earned there way to Austin last year, can they do it two years in a row?It will be a very daunting task to say the least.
limecuda
In my opinion HJ has the best high school coach in the area and will make it to that Silsbee matchup if Silsbee makes it that far.
Lazeek
HJ definately has their hands full..........but they did last year as well!!!!!!!!! Taking it one game at a time. Right now their focus is Tarkington and nothing else!!!!!

PoppaBearstarr
That was good AAW, I'm like everyone else, I know we have our hands full. The last three years really. Hopefully we can make it throught the gauntlet and see all of our District neighbors in Huntsville.
bullets13
It will be much tougher this year. HJ has had another great year, and they've had some guys step up big time to fill the shoes of Jarvis and Trey. That being said, I don't think HJ is quite as good as they were last year. Still, they've proven they can beat any team in the state again this year. I don't know much about Navasota, but i think Cleveland will be more difficult this year, and last year HJ barely squeaked by them on the back of Benard. HJ is more than capable of making it back to regionals, but as difficult as it was last year, it's going to be even harder this year. good luck boys! ST413
One thing about it if the Tigers get to the regional finals again they better be on top of their game. No matter which team comes out of the other bracket, they will be playing their best just to get by the other teams.

setxslam
Seems like we always have to do it the hard way. The kids tried pretty hard at WOS-- but that bald-headed ref was a man on a mission. I thank him for giving us the hard time there, and the hard path the rest of the way. We win state again this year, we'll have earned it.
