I gotta be the first to congratulate Coach Jost and the entire Orangefield team on a great season.  I know they don't feel it now...but they will all look back at all they accomplished this season and be proud.  Playing Madisonville as tight as they did shows their true character.

The future is very bright for the BOBCATS next year,

Congratulations to Aimee Scales on a tremendous game tonight. The Madisonville coach spoke VERY HIGH on you, your ability  but mosrt importantly...YOUR HEART!!!  A great way to finish your career.  Best of luck to you in the future,

Madisonville takes down Lady Cats, 52-35
Gabriel Pruett
The Orange Leader

TARKINGTON — Give the Orangefield Lady Bobcats credit - they never once let Madisonville plow right through them.

No. 3 Madisonville held off Orangefield 52-35 Friday in the Class 3A Region III Area Round playoffs at Tarkington High School. Orangefield (22-11) got a game-high 15 points from lone Lady Bobcats senior Aimee Scales.

The Lady Bobcats trailed 39-22 heading into the games' final eight minutes.

Orangefield then had its best offensive period of the game, scoring 13 points in the fourth.

The Lady Bobcats 13 points went to no avail as Madisonville also scored 13 points to keep Orangefield away from getting to close.

Orangefield junior Marissa Wyatt scored 12 points in the loss while Kacy Juneau, who had a terrific game on defense, put in six points and Ashton Wagner finished with two.

The Lady Mustangs (22-4) got 12 points from Brittney Smith. Madisonville won District 24-3A and is now headed to the regional quarterfinals.

The Lady Mustangs were up 12-9 after the first period but then held Orangefield to six points in the second.

Madisonville led 25-15 at the break and then outscored Orangefield 14-7 in the third.
