Kountze. Silsbee. H Jefferson discussions

Over last few months there has been many arguments about who is better between the above schools.  Most of it was fueled by one person who dedicated his energies to discrediting one of those schools. If u use head to head games between the three, u find HJ at 3-1, Silsbee at 1-2, and Kountze at 1-2.  After tonite, someone will be 2-2 and someone else will be 1-3.  If u use these numbers as an indicator and don't try to blame referees , location, etc etc isn't it fairly easy to arrive at a conclusion?

One thing won't change.One of these clubs will still be 3-1.At the end of the day you have to go by the head to head records,they don't lie.Right now however in the season that matters all three clubs are 0-0 in the season that counts.

If my mind is not mistaken me Silsbee has had the best team on paper of these three teams for 5 straight years.  It just goes to prove it is more that who dunks the most and how the kids "look" when they walk on the court.

Wrong. In '07 and '08 HJ was better on paper and in '06, Kountze was better on paper. ;)

a very good point.  still, as an HJ supporter, i think that Silsbee is probably the best among the three.  HJ has done well against them, though.

BS!  The same conversations were going on then that are going now.  Silsbee has had overall superior talent EVERY year!

Kountze had the better team in '06.

Its been pretty equal in the past 3 n 4 years against hj and silsbee. Last year regionals silsbee got put out by Jasper and HJ beat Jasper to go to Austin. 2 years ago silsbe beat HJ in regionals and put us out. But if you look at the games this year hj is still 1-1 against silsbee and 2-0 against. I I guess this will all end against silsbee and hj at regionals this year

[/quote]All that means is that HJ (or Silsbee or Kountze) was better THAT night.  IMO, you gotta go with how far they go in the play-offs.  Head to head is less important unless you have to beat the same team every play off game in order to win state.

Fairly easy to arrive at we have 3 very good teams in this area, that love to hate each other.  2 of them are 3A,  one is a 2A, all in the playoffs.  Good luck to all the teams.  I have seen them all play, even against each other. Silsbee and HJ each one against each other, and Kountze beat Silsbee once early in the season. HJ beat Kountze x2, but by very little, both were great games, Good luck to them all in the post season.
