I still believe that the best player in the district is Crosby SS Caleb M.  He is the whole package.  He is going to Galveston only becasue he wants to be able to get drafted after one year.  He had verbally committed to Rice.

I think Crosby may have the best player in the district, but it's not Mangum. IMO.
Well who do you beleive that it is?
As a team, I can "avoid" Mangum and not let him beat me. Gabryszwski, on the other had, can control the game from the time he takes the mound. Very impressive as a soph. last year.
I will agree that he can control the game on the mound and he is very good, but why don't you pitch to Caleb and see if you can then stop him.  Becasue what you are saying is that you are scared to pitch to him.
Not scared. It's just if I'm playing Crosby, I don't let him be the one that beats me in a close game. I'll challenge him in any other situation. That's called respect and Mr. Mangum has earned it.
I will agree with you on that one.  I faced you last year and you are a preatty good pitcher how is gcm going to be this year.

Is Mangum REALLY PRO material?
If he was good enough to be recruited by Rice, he's probably going to get a shot in the Minors. Assuming he does well at Galveston.

I follow a lot of these guys on Perfect Game's Crosschecker.com. He's never been mentioned on there. (Not that that means a hill of beans.)

Which one is he? What is his number? I don't remember much about Crosby from the K-park games.

Mangum has pro prospect talent. Many players opt for the JUCO route vs. 4-year school for the very same reason. However, I would imagine he will likely be @ Galveston for two years before getting drfated...especially if he isn't drafted out of high school. JMO.
