Depends on what you consider a downfall?

We've won or tied for the district championship for the past 16 years. Our goal is to WIN a State Championship EVERY YEAR.

It'll be a bit of a rebuilding yr but they'll be in playoffs because of Zay...I think ec will beat them twice

The guard play should look real solid, but my concern leans toward our inside game. Is Kountze going to be able to dominate the paint enough for them to make into the playoffs again?

into the playoffs yes far in the playoffs idk...i cant think of any returning dominating inside force for our district nxt yr

They will win the district again but won't be anywhere near as strong as they are this year.McDaniel is a pretty solid player but he isn't the dominant player some folks on here make him out to be.The little shooter and the freshman that got some minutes at the Montagne Saturday along with McDaniel will be a good start on a title.

THEY'VE HAD A DYNASTY SINCE 1994 SON!!  THAT WOULD BE DISTRICT CHAMPS or co EVERY YEAR.... DEEP PLAYOFF RUNS EVERY YEAR EXCEPT FOR 2 or 3......  3 or 4 state championships 6 or 7 state appearances...... 12 or 13 regional finals.....  DYNASTY...    last year they were beaten by nw an eventual state final team that they were up by 10 at half...

We also have a real good PG that's a freshman this year; don't know if he'll on varsity play next year, but he shoots the outside shots real well and attacks the basket. If he plays, then we should see McDaniel hit more of the outside shots that he's accustomed to. [color=red][/color]

Kountze's freshmen class is legitimate.  Their class in 8th grade is good as well.  They will be fine for some years to come.  Not to mention the fact that they know how to play basketball.  The team that will see a downfall will be New Waverly.

Better check the roster before you say that. Two juniors starting and the next six are freshmen and sophomores.  JV was undefeated.

Dont forget about those boys from LCM. Gonzales and Harley are Juniors, and Armstrong and Wells are Sophmores. I believe they will be a playoff contender next year for sure. They beat Ozen,Nederland, Central, and Livingston each once. Hopefully with a big returning cast they will get in the playoffs next year.
