adminbaberuth Posted February 23, 2010 Report Posted February 23, 2010 Let’s recognize superlative play on a weekly basis. I’ll start it out from reports I have received, you can add players as the games progress this week. Nick Cardenas (Nederland)- 4-5 with 2 doubles and HR against BC.Derek Sowell (Jasper) 15 k’s against WOSTaylor Townsend (Kelly) had no hitter till 7th inning against LCMChase Angelle (Orangefield)...5IP 10 K's 1 unearned run 1 hit...Had a perfect game going until the 5th. Got the win in Orangefield's 16-1 win over Liberty. Chase also was 3-3 with 4 RBI
wizdiz Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Sowell's 15 K's came in 5 innings. IF I'm not mistaken that means all of his outs were K's.

BigTuna Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Shannon Grantham Jr. 3B HJ 3-3 2 2B's,1B, and a walk in 14-2 win over Kirbyville.Hayden Greer So. P HJ CG win w/ 7 K's, also 1-3 with a 2B vs. Kirbyville.
LU47 Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 can't help but recognize Kelly's defense in its win over LCM's Monday night as a star, they made every play behind 12 innings of solid pitching, no errors that i can recall. LCM's defense should be recognized as well.

bandbmom Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Here’s a quick rundown on how Lumberton’s tournament went this weekend. It was cut short due to weather and Lumberton only played 3 games, the last one moved to Bridge City on Saturday. Lumberton won all 3 games against Chester, Coldspring, and Bridge City. Our pitching was solid this weekend with a complete game win for Ty Choate against Chester 15-1. Zach Brunson also pitched a complete game win over Coldspring 12-2. The Raiders then beat a tough Bridge City Team 8-7 with good pitching from Corbin Bell, Tyler Erickson, and Wayne Stanley. Our defense was solid all weekend and at the plate we were led by offense from Bingham / 7-9, 2 doubles, 2 HR, 9 RBIs, Erickson / 5-9, 1 HR, W. Stanley / 6-12, 2 doubles, 1 HR 2 RBIs and Hughes with a 2 RBI double in the top of the 7th to put the Raiders at 8-5 against Bridge City. Coach Reyenga also had our boys playing some great small ball at times with timely bunts and steals to put our guys in scoring position. Great Job Raiders!
adminbaberuth Posted March 1, 2010 Author Report Posted March 1, 2010 BandmomThat's a great wrapup for the Raiders. You are hired for the rest of the season.
