AshlyHasBeen Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Compared to most schools their field is a little league field as far as fence distance.

Congratulations to all the players who hit a HR today. ::)

Big Stick Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 For all of you smart *****. It is weird that LCM has not given up a homerun today on such a small field.Maybe, just maybe they are better than everyone was anticipating. no other team has a homerun.Yall might want to pay attention. Keep hating.WE LOVE IT.
bkatdog Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Any scores/updates on the Hudson games?
attackpack Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Last I heard it was 6-5 Lufkin Hudson bottom of third, Hudson with 3 homers.
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 There's nothing wrong with the field, I've played plenty there against LC-M and wasn't taking anything away from the kids. The facts are it's a short porch and teams tend to know how to play in their own field at all levels. Just like Lamar at the Beck, the games are played different depending on the wind.
attackpack Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 8-6 HF going into bottom of the 4th.
77 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 swingin the bat is the best way to play it.
Critter Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010
13-8 Lufkin Hudson final.
So who pitched in this game?
adminbaberuth Posted February 25, 2010 Author Report Posted February 25, 2010 I'll try to keep final scores on the 1st post of this thread.
elhector1 Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010
Compared to most schools their field is a little league field as far as fence distance.
Actually...no. Little League fence distance is 225 ft. as of 2008. Junior and Senior League fence distance is 300 feet. Little League DOES NOT apply in this instance, so please do better research before you post. These fence distances are from Little League International. Just because some other school wants to move their fence distance back so they can crow about a "beast" they have every blue moon that can hit it out of the park DOES NOT mean that LCM has a intentionally short field. If they did, everyone would have big HR nights. In addition, I seem to remember that the "Little League field studs" you like to deride from LCM, have also sent it out of other ball parks as well...
AshlyHasBeen Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I've played baseball for 25 years now I think I'm aware of little league distances it wasn't a literal statement. Our pitchers knew going over they had to keep the ball low.
Walk-off Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 ShlyKBMT,In your playing days, how many homeruns did you hit at the bears park?
BearII Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010
Anything on Hudson/Crosby?
Hudson 8 Crosby 6
