Bi-District round was not a friendly round to our local teams

Recommended Posts

Of the 19 area teams that qualified for the playoffs, only 9 teams advanced thru the bi-district round, with 4 of those getting byes in the first round. That means our local teams went 5-10 in the first round. Not too good, to say the least.

Teams advancing:

4A Nederland (won)
3A Silsbee (bye)
3A HJ   (won)
3A WOS (won)
2A Kountze (bye)
2A Anahuac (won)
2A East Chambers (won)
2A Woodville (bye)
1A Spurger (bye)

Teams going out in 1st round

5A PAM
5A West Brook
4A Ozen
4A Central
4A Livingston
4A Barbers Hill
2A Newton
2A San Augustine
1A Evadale
1A Sabine Pass

Let's hope the remaining 9 can advance past the next round. (actually only 8 can advance as Anahuac and Woodville face each other)
