The lack of a true PG has been the Lions weakness all year. Not only creating on the offensive end but also defending.I was surprised about the rebounding though ,that has been a strength for them this year.

RayRay, Still coming to Regionals? Where are you KtzLionFan? Not as much trash talkin' this morning huh?
Congrats to Kountze on a great year. I'll admit as a fan we were a little nervous about this one. I don't know if it was just a bad game for ya'll or not. I personally think that Kountze relied a little too heavily on just the big 2. They are great athletes but i don't think Bray had good enough handle to run the point as often as he did.I was more impressed with Walker and his skills. #30 is a good player that should really shine next year.On another note, even though ya'll's #1 fan talked trash to our kids for the last few years, I was impressed that he came over before he left (early) and shook Goffney's hand. Last year he screamed at our kids during every timeout even while they were in a huddle. Good to see he's gotten a small amount of class.

I don't believe I was "trash talkin'" at all. I consider that as fully  supporting the Kountze Lions. I felt like they could, should and would beat NW..... I was wrong (I can admit that), but then that was my opinion.  I don't need to down another team in order to make Kountze look better than they already are. The Bulldogs pulled off what most thought was impossible, including me. No, I'm not happy with the results of last night's game, but I'm still proud of the Lions for producin a very entertaining year.

Roman, I am especially proud of how hard you have work your butt off for the Lions these past 4 years. Keep your head up cousin, there's always the next level. :)

This game was a shocker to me. I thought the refs were horrible on both sides. That being said New Waverly played better and harder than Kountze.  Kountze did not block out and continued to let NW get uncontest fast break points. Kountze got outcoached and outplayed. I have no idea why Bray would be bringing the ball up.  Interior defense for Kountze was nonexistent. They definitely were not prepared for NW.

Wow!  I don't know who you are but you pretty much summed up the whole night for Kountze in those few sentences. Raw and uncut! :o

I was surprised that Devin would handle the ball at all unless it is on the break. His game is finishing on the end of the break.Kountze has an outstanding club but NW didn't come in as the #1 for no reason. The big 2 have to be congratulated for a great year but you can't overlook Whisenant and Johnson they have both been tremendous players for the Lions for several years. When the sting dies down the Lions have to be proud of the season they have had.

If Brey wants to play college ball he'll be a guard he should be able to take the ball up court plus he has good handles so I'm not amazed that he handled the ball so much. Plus ktz is a running team which doesn't happen with a bunch of ppl that can't handle the ball

I'll agree he will be a guard if he plays college ball, but he doesn't handle it well enough now to play guard at that level. He is somewhat out of control when he has to push the ball up by himself. That is not his strength.
