Turning point in the 4th quarter....Kountze down 65-62 with the ball. Bray brings the ball up court and shoots his 1st 3 of the night with 2 defenders on him. Ball bounces long and New Waverly gets a man down-court by himself. Bray fouls out of frustration picking up his 5th foul, and New Waverly goes to the line for the 'and 1'.

68-62 at that point with roughly 2 mins left.... :'( :'(

Coop had ktz favored by 3.  Everyone expected Kountze to win.  Another overrated team lost.  Just mocking coop.

They didn't lose the game when brey shot that 3, they lost the game because they didn't block out and nw had 2nd chance opportunities.

You gotta eliminate second chance points.The Lions have some 3 ball shooters but Brey isn't one of them.Sounds like a low scoring ballgame for the Lions and that usually gets them in trouble.Maybe this will be NW year,I think this will be Kountzes best shot for several years.Congrats to the Lions on a good year and a pat on the back to Roman Walker,this kid has been quetly doing a great job for the Lions for years and will be missed on the local hardwood by not only the Lions but the fans of the game as well.

NW got way to many second chance points. If kountze gets half of those offensive boards this game is another story. The refs were bad but they didn't lose this game. The only reason people said they were bad is because devin fouled out. there were several times the ref bailed devin out and made the call on another player towards the end. No, brey's 3 isn't the reason they lost but it wasn't a smart shot but it didn't lose the game for them. Hate that this game was a quarterfinal game, these were two real good teams and everybody didn't even get to watch. whose idea was it to play in livingston anyways?

Roman has been a great player for Kountze and has done it quietly.  I have never witnessed or heard of him having a poor attitude.  Congratulations on a great high school career, young man.

Super nice for a Jr High but terrible for a game that big. Court was slick...players on both teams sliding.

By no means did the refs cost Kountze the game. One had it in for Kountze and one had it in for NW.

They called several fouls on different players and one time a player they called it on for NW wasn't even on the court.

As anticipated, it was a great game. Sucks that hundreds were turned away. [/font]

We didnt execute in the 4th quarter and lost our composure. Simple as that.
