KFDM COOP Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 Bears, Cards winFrom staff reports The Orange LeaderBRENHAM — BRENHAM — The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears improved to 5-1 on the year Thursday with a 12-4 win over Santa Fe and a 3-1 win over Montgomery.Kody Smith got the win on the mound and Mason Dallas continued to be hot at the plate.Dallas wwas 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and three RBI while Ryan Waddell was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.Alex Blem was 2-for-2 with two runs and Jonathan Allen was 2-for-2 with two walks and three runs.Again st Montgomery, Josh Veillon pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing just four hits and a run. Reid Fults got the save while Dallas had a double.Hunter Gonzales was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored. Allen had two RBI and a double and Shane Waddell had a RBI.The Bears will face New Caney at 9 a.m. today and Bryan at 2:30 p.m.
