Congrats to the six HJ Seniors!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I want to personally say thanks to Jacoby, Phillip, Blake, Trent, Sean and Reagan for four incredible years!!!  You guys have been a treat to watch play and all have done a fantastic job of representing the Hawk basketball team.  In your four years you have won over 120 games, been to the Regional Final all 4 years and advanced to the State tourney twice and were State Champs as Freshman.  You may not have played on varsity then but you were a part of the program!!!  I remember back 10-11 years ago when my wife was in her first year of teaching at China Elementary and she came home talking about a kid that was gonna be a star one day and that he was gonna be the best athlete in the school when he was a senior!!!  Well she called it..........Jacoby Turner!!!  Also have had the opportunity to become good friends with Trent over the years since his mom and my wife are best friends!!!  Trent is a great player and a even better person!!!  I know the others but I don't know the others well enough to comment so I won't act like I do!!!  Congrats again on an incredible four years and it has been a blast to watch you guys play!!!  Good luck to you and your future!!!

Well said, I am not too sure us Tiger fans will miss Turner though. :D :D  Congratulations and well wishes to all of them.  Great rivalries make great teams.

Prudhomme will definately take up a lot of the slack.  Especially offensive ,  from  what I hav sen he will be able to score inside and out.  I will have  to see on the defensive end though,  he has shown me some strongpoints but h won't be as quick as Turner. He will be a heck of a player by the time he graduates.

These kids were very worthy parts of the HJ tradition.  I will miss the victory cigar that was Reagan's 3-ball; the occasional offensive outbursts that Sean unleashed; Trent's rebounding, put-backs. and wall-pass give-and-goes with Sean; Blake's all-out hustle and scrappy mid-range game; Phillip's leaving it all on the court, and making it easy to break presses, even after his knee injury; and Jacoby's mongoose-quick steals, dunks, and dagger threes.  Though these kids came three points shy of making it back to Austin, they did help send their fans home happy 35 times this season.  Thanks for the memories, and all best wishes!

I had the opportunity to watch HJ 8 TO 10 times this year and realized these are the type kids you build successful programs with. They all know their role and accept it without question. Some I have known for several years and some I had never met but found myself yelling for them because of the way they played the game.Turner is the quickest defensive player I've ever seen and was a joy to watch.I didn't think Ricossa would play again after he went down against Kountze but he proved me wrong. If I were putting a team together Ricossa would be one of my first picks.Congrats to all the senior hawks on a super run.
