Weekend 3 in Southland Conference

Southland Conference is holding ground as being a Top 10 conference nationally by what the numbers are saying from Top to Bottom.
Overall conference record, 78-51

Lamar(9-2) takes 3 of 4 in its tournament, Southeastern(11-1) suffers its first loss, SFA(7-4) takes OU to the final frame with the lead yet the closer fails em giving up 2, losing 5-4,  UTSA(7-4) flys out west and picks up 2 wins, Northwestern(9-2) is on a current 9game winning streak, Nicholls State(8-3), Sam Houston(3-9) gets itself going with 3 wins and Tx State(5-5) began conference play taking 2 of 3 vs Tx A&M Corpus(6-4), and of the 12 teams in the conference 8 are above .500, and it wont be long before UTA and Sam Houston break the 500 mark.

Alex Moshier from Nederland is the closer for SFA.  He has been sidelined all year with elbow tendonitis, but should be back in the next few weeks.  Hopefully, he can hold on to some of those leads for the LumberJacks.

SFA should be excited at this point, starting out the gates just fine, Cardenas is a good man and the boys respond to him. be nice if Moshier can be The Guy and pull out some of those RPI games for them. They played well from what I was told against OU, and it was Game 4 on day 3 so Id bet a little fatigue hurt them leaving some balls up late in the game. 5-4 loss to #19 isnt bad on the road at their place.
