Pedro Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Parker- Jasper. The kid is a wall behind the plate with great arm and can swing the bat really well.

He's the first name you hear when peopple talk about Jasper. Atleast I've heard it since he was a freshman.
CThoops Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Babino is about as solid of a catcher behind the plate as you are going to find..
TEL Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Not sure of his last name but the kid from Pasadena is as solid as I have seen at the high school level. Renee ???
Rebel Yeller Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Billy Nichols from Evadale could hold his own at any classification he manages the game well and can gun em down at second base!

bkatdog Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Both Jacob Felts and Ty Parker are excellent catchers that will play at the next levels soon. Each has different strenghts and highlights and will hurt you if you don't pitch them carefully. Both were picked by 3A baseball.com in the top 25 3A players in Texas to watch this year and hopefully one will be playing at Disch in early June. Good luck to both and lets play ball.
East TX Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Matt Menard...he proved it to me both offensively & defensively at the Nederland Tourney...a superior showing.

Huggie Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 I've see both Felts and Ty Parker play and they're very good batters. But as far as playing the catcher position, I'd take Lumberton's Wes Bingham hands down. He knocks everything down and throws out runners trying to steal. He's picked off runners on all three bases that were trying to get a lead. He's very quick out of the gate and fires the ball. Wes has also had 3 homers this year, so he's also good with his bat. I like all three players, but I think Wes is the best overall. I know he's talking with several colleges but hasn't yet committed.
Guest GCMPats Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 Two words:JacobFeltsPeriod! There are conversations, but Jacob is a press conference. ;D
h12w25g Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 keep an eye out on a Charles Guillory from West Brook. He was chosen to play in a game for under armor
braves24 Posted March 9, 2010 Author Report Posted March 9, 2010 I would say1. Parker2. Menard3. Bingham 4. Babino
Guest GCMPats Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 I thought aaron morgan was west brooks primary catcher. what under armer game are you referring to?
adminbaberuth Posted March 9, 2010 Report Posted March 9, 2010 You don't sign Div 1 with Texas, especially a position player without talent, Jacob Felts.Ty Parker is the most impressive as a Senior, Matt Menard of Bridge City has the most potential as underclassman.
JCfan Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Just watched Parker catch a huge game and suck up every sharp curve in the dirt Sowell threw. He threw them low because he knew Parker would catch them. He is very good. Every throw to a base was practically perfect.
