adminbaberuth Posted March 10, 2010 Author Report Posted March 10, 2010 Seen five innings and was very impressed with Orangefield. 1-9 can flat out hit. I can see why they're no 1 in our local poll. That grandslam by Chase Angelle was smashed to Left Center. Kelly's Sean O'conell has to be the most underated player in the area. He can play. John Drago is dang good lead off hitter for Kelly.
Bobkat Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Statum hit a bomb in the 7th...it was a no doubter like Angelle's Slam!!!
bmtball Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 I agree with adminababeruth, Sean O'Connell is one of the underrated players in the area. He is hitting the ball very well. He has good speed and can track a fly ball well.Orangefield was dominating tonight. Kelly was missing 4-5 of their seniors due to Spring Break. Regardless, Orangefield was the better team. They hit the ball solidly from 1-9 hitters. Townsend made a mistake pitch and Angelle made him pay for it. Very impressed by Angelle's offense tonight. With the seniors gone, Kelly got a chance to play a few players of the future. Will Darling, a freshman, looked very good on the mound for the 2 innings he pitched. Statum taught the young freshman a lesson on location, by kindly depositing an offering over the right field fence. But overall, a very good showing from a rising freshman in the area.No doubt, Orangefield is the better team. But Kelly has some very good young talent. Look for them to make their mark in the next few years.
vidorianswag Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 Kelly was missing four starters for this game btw
