State Tourney All Tournament Teams

Very disappointed that Silsbee's D.C. Stallworth did not make all tourney. D.C. had 24 points and 13 rebounds and played his butt off, he should have made it.

I had the same thought. It is a shame.

He had better stats than a couple players on there. Look at the divisions there were several players between the classes not in the finals.

To lose in the first round, and make the state championship all tourney team, a player has to play lights out and put up some eye popping numbers.  The first thing they (the selectors) are going to say is: if he is so good, why didn't his team make it past the opening round game?

If you would bother to look at the list of all the all-tourney teams, you would see players that made it that lost in the semis that did not have as good of numbers as Stallworth had. ::)

It was a glaring omission.

All you need to do is look at the stats of those who made the list.  It took a couple of games for some of those to be comparable to what DC put up in one.

Perhaps you're right.  I haven't been to but two state tournaments.  After Silsbee lost my interests in high school boys basketball went South til next season.  At this point it is splitting hairs over water under the bridge.
