NickKBTV Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 needs 379 points next season to become the 19th player in school history with 1,000 career points. He scored 433 pts this season so he should do it sometime in the middle of conference play. He'll finish Top 7 All-Time when its all said and done.
Guest mffl Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Hopefully he can have some team success besides the individual accomplishment, nonetheless good player. We need him to continue to improve if we are going to better.
Bruce Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 It'd be nice to see Anthony develop into a consistent scorer. I certainly hope that some of the recruits coming in are a big help, as I see a serious lack of offense next year given the loss of Nabors and the fact the team was not good offensively this year.ESPN still shows Nuno as coming here next year (along with Lynch, Kyser, and Demetris Smith from Pflugerville)--is this actually true? I've assumed he was a lost cause after the weird "citizenship" (a visa, I assume?) issue arose that kept him from enrolling this year. (Too bad, he looked like a fine prospect).
Guest mffl Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Don't think he's coming... Look out for LSCPA player Ahyaro Phillips. Not sure how hard they are recruiting him though.
Guest coachacola Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Nuno is at Westwind Prep in Arizona but his stats are less than impressive. ESPN rated him a 87 which is pretty high so who knows how good he is. Scout and HoopScoopOnline still have him coming to Lamar so maybe he's still coming if he gets his citizenship issues straightened out.ESPN upgraded the Smith kid from Pflugerville from a 40 to a 78. From what I've read about him he's a Charlie Harper type player who can shoot the 3. I wonder if Roc will redshirt a few of these guys like Harris from PA. If Roc does happen to sign a JUCO player it better be someone who can make a big impact.
