westend1 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Can Baylor make the sweet 16? They should be favored against Old Dominion.

PhatMack19 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Baylor's road just got a little easier with 'Nova losing. They now have to beat 11 seed Old Dominion and then 10 seed St Mary's to make it to the Elite 8.

AJ25 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 I think people have to realize UT wasn't as bad as everyone thought, 3/4 of their losses came to teams in the Elite 8 in K State and Baylor
elhector1 Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Glad to see a team from the Big 12 in the mix of the Elite 8. Would have loved to have seen the Miners in there, but they got Butler in the first game. Oh well...notice that AAW hasn't come on to congratulate the Bears since his team exited...
westend1 Posted March 28, 2010 Author Report Posted March 28, 2010 Bears getting screwed by officials
baddog Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010
Bears getting screwed by officials
Yep, no one ever gets beat, they just get screwed out of it. ::)Duke hit the crucial, coffin nail shots and Baylor let Duke milk the clock without even trying to foul with a little over a minute left. Basketball games usually come down to the last couple minutes and that's when coaching kicks in. Baylor was outcoached in the end.

But that charge call against Acie with Baylor up two was huge. The center should have been gone with Baylor up 4 or 5.
baddog Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Well, I bet we could both go back through the game and pick several bad calls both ways, and you know what?....Duke still wins with coaching and clutch shooting.Duke went up for shots that were rejected, and they called most of them clean blocks. Baylor is a fantastic shot blocking team, but they were also hammering the Duke shooters and rebounders. Baylor will be back. The best team won.
shorttexas1 Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Baylor had the game but Dukes Coaching and Moxy won the game!!! They play hard all the time and that is a sign of good coaching. No way Baylor should have given up that many offensive rebounds, that is a pure hustle stat!

Baylor needs to learn to play a little man-to-man sometime. They got whipped with 3's and offensive boards(not to mention that horrible call) ;D
Rebel Yeller Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 As a Baylor Alum I can say that I am proud of the run that the Bears made this season. Coach Drew deserves all the credit for coming in and turning a program that was all but gone into a respectable and still up and coming program. Finishing as the NIT runner up last year and as an Elite 8 team this year will be huge with recruiting this year and there are plenty of pieces coming back for next season. The Big 12 may not be the best basketball conference in the country, but they come pretty close. I think that the Bears will be looked at as one of the top teams in preseason polls. Thanks to the Bears for being a class act throughout the season and the NCAA tournament.
BLUEDOVE3 Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Baylor got whipped on pure hustle and determination. Looking at rebounds float thru the air. Duke wanted it more. Winning breeds winning
