hj_hawk_60 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 PNG - Montgomery Nederland - HuntsvilleCentral - BrenhamHF - WallerLets hear it..That district finished.. 1. Waller 2. Brenham 3. Montgomery 4. Huntsville
NDFan09 Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 If Nederland and PNG play like they can they will both win. In the Central-Brenham match-up I will take Brenham they are always good and usually a powerhouse in Region III. In the Waller-Vidor/HF game i will take Waller, if Waller has the team they had last year they should be able to win this game. But I am pulling for this area and hoping this area can get 4 more wins on either Monday or Tuesday.
dualdellortos Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Waller, Montgomery and Huntsville returned 8 or 9 starters apiece from last season. So they are pretty much the same, but BETTER and BIGGER than in 2009. The 2009 district champ (Willis) returned 9 starters and finished 5th. It was a war every night. Two of my ties were against the 6th and 7th place schools.Brenham returns 1 starter and a guy that started some due to injuries in the starting 11 from 2009. They graduated 17 lettermen. The only thing that will look familiar is the uniforms...... ;)
Guest Newbie Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 lol NEVER underestimate the green team. BTW do y'all still show up to the games in your green jackets?
dualdellortos Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Of course, silly question....... ::)
tinker21 Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 LOVE the green jackets and khaki slacks!!!
dualdellortos Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Thanks! The part I'm most proud of is that even though they have earned the right to wear the green jacket, they don't feel that they are entitled to cheat on their girlfriends........... :o
sharkfutbol Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Nederland......... winsPng ................ winsCentral............ out HF horns.......... surpising season ends. Then finally get to see Ned and Brenham play. Of course Ned has to take care of business as does Brenham. And who will png have after this round.. Waco U..
dualdellortos Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 No. Waco University/Waco High are in the same quarter as Brenham/Central and Nederland/Huntsville. PNG is in the quarter with Waco Midway.
sharkfutbol Posted March 21, 2010 Report Posted March 21, 2010 Better for PnG isnt it....? Anyway . after next round. The games are all usualy quality teams.
WhirlingDurbish Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 If PNG Boys take care of business Tuesday they face the winner of HF and Waller. I think Waller is stacked this year. Let's get by Montgomery first!! I hear Montgomery is very physical. Has anyone seen them play this year?
dualdellortos Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 Yes. I got a crick in my neck looking up at them the whole game......... ;)
FutbolisaBeach Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 HF vs. Waller at Spring DeKaney HS at 7:00 tomorrow night 8) GO HORNS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dualdellortos Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 Final - Brenham 3 Central 0Good game. Congrats on a good season Jaguars!
Lumraider22 Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 was it a good game? was it obvious brenham was better or was it just how the ball fell lol
BrenhamFan Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 It was 1-0 at the half. Then Brenham put up the second goal. Each team had shots off the wood work in the second half. In the last couple of minutes, Brenham added the third goal, to put the final nail in the coffin.
Chazz Michael Michaels Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 When Brenham played Waller how did the games play out?
dualdellortos Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 at Brenham 2-1 Cubs. at Waller 2-1 Bulldogs (Waller got both goals in the final 9 minutes)Exciting games
Guest Brian Fantana Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 So waller seems to be more of a 2nd half team then
NDFan09 Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010
So waller seems to be more of a 2nd half team then
ya they seem to be. last year they scored 3 on us in the last 20 minutes and knocked us out
7Sammy7-Jags Posted March 23, 2010 Report Posted March 23, 2010 central dominated the game but brenham finished better
RonBurgundy68 Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010
central dominated the game but brenham finished better
If the score would have been 1-0 or 2-1 I could probably believe that... But the fact that it was 3-0, I find that very hard to believe... Brenham is coached by someone with ALOT of knowledge about the game, and he would be the first to admit if his team was dominated...
BrenhamFan Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010
central dominated the game but brenham finished better
I disagree...Brenham executed on it's set pieces and capitalized on Central's mistakes. If a team wins by 3 goals, i'm not sure how you can say they were dominated.
Chazz Michael Michaels Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 looks more to me like brenham dominated the game
dualdellortos Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Brenham - 10 shots on target, 3 goalsCentral - 8 shots on target, 0 goalsWhile the scoreline is what it is, it wasn't exactly dominating either way until Central went down to 10 men with about 10 minutes left and was having to expose themselves in the back to try and climb back into the game. Then Luis Ceron came up huge on several breakaways from Brenham to keep the score down.
